The car has done this for some time now, without any effect on performance as far as I can tell. I got the car with 64000 miles on it from an older lady.

When you start it and it's cold, it'll make a "clicky noise" sounds kind of like the ticking of a sewing machine. Up a few hundred rpms and it'll tick faster. But when driving it is not noticeable, or if you rev past a few hundred it quits. Does when warm too, but probably less noticeable. Any ideas?

I don't think they've ever been adjusted in 86000 miles. Older lady said they were "nonadjustable" and I just kinda took that at face value.
