The water in the radiator was brown like coffee and the dealer told me that they ran the flush twice but that I had so much sediment that it did not clear up. After that I noticed that my car ran hotter then before and at time spiked to almost the hot section on gauge. Also my heater was blowing cold air.
When I got home I pulled the thermastat thinking it was sticking. I ran the car for 2 days without a thermstat and it still ran hot at times and spiked to the hot section on gauge. My heater still was blowing cold air. So I felt all my hoses. The upper hose (which I think is my return hose) was very very hot. However my lower hose (which I think is my inlet hose connectos to housing where themrastat is) was barley warm. My heater hoses the one on left side (which I think is inlet) was very very hot, but the right heater hose (which I think is outlet) was cold.
So, this weekend I disconnected the upper hose and drain the system, I then ran the engine while adding water to the radiator until the water turned from brown to clear.I disconnected the heater hose on left and ran water until clear.
I reconnected all the hoses and topped off system. Ran car for 20 mins, fans turned on and off and gauge read just below the middle like it always had.
But this morning on way to work. It ran mostly just below middle but at times spiked and the guage read almost to hot. When I got to work, I felt all the hoses again. The upper hose HOT, the lower hose barley warm. The left side heater hose HOT, right side heater hose barley warm. Heater still blows colds air.
Its as if no circulation on system. Or maybe the radiator is clogged at lower half or lower hose?>?
let me know what you guys think or if more info is required.
