I'm not sure if this is a transmission problem or not. But when I have the car in drive, sometimes I hear a loud "purring" type sound coming from the engine area of the car. It only happens when the gears are engaged and I am stopped at a light or at a drive thru for a few minutes. I was wondering if I might need to replace the filters in the transmission or if there was some other component that may be causing this sound.
