1998 Nissan Sentra spark plug tube seals replacment

I am in the process of replacing the valve cover gasket and the spark plug seals but cant seem to be able to remove the old seals, does the plastic shield or baffle need to be removed from the valve cover?

Hi ricluc,

If the baffle plates is covering the seal then it has to be removed.

The seals tends to stick as it hardens over time and might require some force to dislodge it from its seated position.
