I don't recommend replacing any parts without proper diagnostic. Especially expensive ones.
Do this first. Even if there is no check engine light present, have the computer scanned. Older Nissan ECMs don't necessarily turn on the check engine light, but keeps a code in memory. If I am to guess, with too much oil, your timing chain may have jumped a tooth or two.
