I am unable to put gas into my Murano without the
gas hose handle shutting off. I have found if I hold the handle up high and keep adjusting it I can have the gas go into the tank but will not completely fill
up with gas. Gas always ends up splashing back in
tryng to find the position on the car that will allow the gas into the tank. I have talked to someone else
who has the same car & year and is also experiencing the same problem. Have called Nissan they deny knowledge of this problem. Also saw the problem
discussed on a blog by other people. Any suggestions
to what could be wrong. Had a 2003 Murano never had a problem with it. Thanks Sheryl

I am irritated that Nissan does not know what to do. I guess they dont have internet in Japan, as I can find plenty of complaints about this. Needless to say, I also have this problem on my 2007.

I have this issue as well!
I've found if I put the nozzle in and set it to where it shuts itself off then it works. But I have to do that right off the bat or I have the battle of the nozzle and struggle with even getting $5 worth in! I look like a crazed lunatic who has never put gas in before when that happens lol

This happens when the filler neck air hose needs to be replaced because it is a hose can gets messed up and wont let air out. Here is how you fix the problem.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
