1997 Nissan Maxima RPM engine turnover

My car has two problem unrelated or not not sure. 1st the car hesitates to start unless I pump the gas 2nd when I am driving in town the rpm goes from 2 to 3 or 4 and does not drive well, sort of hesitating.

Hi could be fuel pump fuel filter convertor plugged tune up. Just hard to say need to scan and see what codes are in computer memory.

Hi, well first have fuel filter changed and get a tune up. Around a 100 next if prob still there have convertor tested at a exhaust if bad prob a few hundred. Hope this helps
