1997 Nissan Maxima check engine light

I had check engine light on and it codes were to replace knock sensor and speed sensor. Well I replace both parts on car and ran the car for awhile. 1 day ago the check engine light came back on.

When your computer gives a code for a specific component, it isn't saying to replace that component. It's saying that there's a problem in that system.

This means it could be the component, the connector or wiring. Sometimes even the computer.

It's a must that you diagnosis these systems properly before replacing parts, or you'll often have the same problem all over again.

Now having said that, just because your check engine light came back on doesn't mean it's for the same issues. It could be an entirely different problem than from the last time.

Have your computer scanned again and write back with the codes. I'll help you from there.
