Hi,

I have a question. The needle of the C-H goes up all the way when I drive the car for 5 or 10 minutes. It goes all the way up and then go down a little, then it goes back up to the H area again. When I check the coolant, I realize the coolant is low but then when I pour in the antifreeze/coolant, the problem still there. After I pour in the coolant, I go for a test drive. The needle still goes up all the way to H and goes back down little and goes up all the way again. It just doesn't stay at one place, it goes all the way up to H, then back down little and then back up again. Please help me out and tell me what I should do. Thanks

I have another concern before I go change the Thermostat. Yesterday, when I come back from the test drive, feeling depress I park the car. I come out to open the hood 30 minute later, I come to realize that the coolant leak. I pour the coolant to the maximum, however, when I check it again, it leaks out. I pour the coolant in again and massage the hose and go for another long test drive. This time the thermostat doesn't idle anymore. And when I open the hood to check the coolant, it doesn't leak. Can you tell me what is happening? Why the coolant leak and all the of sudden, I pour in the coolant again and go for a test drive, the thermostat no longer idle. Thanks

Get it block and pressure tested you're losing coolant somewhere.
