I purchased a year ago 94 Nissan Maxima SE, and the car run great until few days ago. The current milage is 120,000. Day after I did tune-up, the battery light indicator came on. When I turned the key, all dashboard indicators were dead, but the car started and run fine. However, the battery light was continously on. Headlights were also working. Besicaly, everything worked fine except the dashboard indicators and battery light was on. I took the car to Car-x, and they told me that the regulator inside the alternator was bad. Thus, they replaced the alternator and my car run fine for two day. However, the same problem came back only two days after the alternator was replaced. My guess is that there is some electrical problem that damages the alternator regulator, or maybe the alternator is not damaged at all, but there is some low-voltage supply problem. I also read somewhere that the problem might also be related to ignition system. I would highly appreciate your help.
Cheers....Dan
