Had $2000.00 worth of work done to my car recently and now the anti lock display light is on, and wondered what this means

The light is indicating the ABS system isn't working. That doesn't mean you will have no brakes, just no ABS. Have the computer scanned at a parts store. Many will do it for free, and you will know what is causing the light to be on.
