2004 Nissan Altima Passenger Seat Belts

I noticed last month that my right rear passenger seat belt was jammed (it will not come out for attachment).
It is only used occasionally by my teenage grandson.

But before I could get it into the shop I noticed that my left one is also jammed. All I have now is a middle seat rear belt.

This has never happened in all the 35 years I have been driving.

Is my grandson doing something strange or is this a nissan problem? Also is there something I can do to unjam them.

Hello -

To better assist you please let me know if this is just an Altima, or an S, SE or SL. Also the engine size in liter.

Have you performed a really good visual with a flashlight of the seat belt area to see if there is anything jammed in there or if the belt is twisted?
