2003 Nissan Altima

In the morning suddenly the accelerator didn't work, even while giving the full acceleration the car wouldn't move or rev up. The service engine soon light is on. After 5 mins it started working normally and on long drives it would suddenly rev up the rpm to 4

I got it checked and they said need to replace the TPS sensor and would cost me around $600

I suspect you have a "drive by wire" throttle system. The PCM detected a malfunction and disabled the throttle. Your first step will be to get the codes read and they will give you an idea what your looking for.
