2001 Nissan Altima Temperature gauge needle

The needle on my temperature gauge is moving up and down, from the middle of the gauge to almost the coolest end. My coolant was a little bit low so I topped it off, however the needle is still mvoing up and down.

I have had the same problem with my 2005 Altima...

You need to have the radiator flushed up and cleaned from rust and dirt blocking the tiny water flows inside the radiator... The coolant is not flowing freely inside the radiator and that's why the needle is fluctuating...
