I was told that my timing chain had to be replaced. I want to know what it entails since I am being charged $2,000

Replacing both lower and upper timing chains on your vehicle, including labor and parts, should not exceed $1,200. If it does I would suggest taking it elsewhere. This is a 13 labor hour job.
