I would not start until you drain and replace the oil. Then I would start slowly. I mean, don't rev it up right away. The engine has to run before the oil will pump into critical moving parts. Most of the wear on an engine occurs in a cold starting engine, since it isn't really lubricated in the first instant of starting. My dad used to say to inject a few drops of oil in cylinders before starting a stored car, but that won't be practical on a 300xz because of the location of plugs. Also if the gas tank wasn't full, condensation ie water is probably at the bottom of the tank. If there is a drain plug on the tank, I would drain/capture some of the gas to inspect. Aircraft owners do this everytime they fly with convenient stop cocks on wing tanks, and keep the tanks full. You wouldn't want water in gas on take off!
