Recently my truck started running ragged, so I changed plus, wires, distributor, fuel filter, air filter, and gave it a gas treatment thinking maybe I had gotten bad gas. Does not do the surging or hesitation all the time before finally picking up speed. Thinking it may be TPS? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, you guys have always come through before. Already priced the TPS and new fuel pump but want to get input before shelling out money for no reason. Thanks!

Hi,

Have you done a few preliminary checks? For example, have you checked for engine vacuum leaks or have you checked fuel pressure?

Let me know. Also, are there any odd sounds from the exhaust which could indicate a plugged converter and have you pulled diagnostic trouble codes?

If you haven't checked for codes, do that. Most parts stores will do it free of charge.

Let me know.
