Hi,
This could be a few different things. Most commonly, it is an engine vacuum leak, that can cause a rough idle or stalling. Also, a plugged air filter can be the issue. Have you checked it to make sure it isn't clogged?

Let me know. Also, let me know if the check engine light is staying on when the engine is running. If it is, the computer should be scanned to determine what trouble codes are stored. If you don't have a scanner, most don't, often times a parts store will do it free of charge. Let me know if you are able to retrieve codes if the light stays on.
