Every morning when I get up there is moisture on the inside of the windshield. I have unclogged the sunroof drain and I've purchased damprid to hang in the car. I make sure the re-circulation in on, but it keeps happening. Help please!

Good afternoon,

Have you had to add any coolant to the cooling system?

This is usually an indication of a leaking heater core fogging up the windshield.

I would have the cooling system pressure tested for a leak.

We don't drive it much. It's kind of an extra vehicle, . But I haven't had to put any coolant in it. The middle part of the floor has been damp lately. I wonder if I have a leak?

Wipe some of the moisture up and smell it, does it smell sweet with sort of an acid background to the odor? If so that is coolant from a leaking heater core. Check the coolant level and see if it's low. If it doesn't smell then it may be from a blocked HVAC drain line. Those are under the vehicle usually a small rubber tube that lets condensation in the HVAC system drain out. Leaves, needles, bugs and dirt can plug it and cause water to stay in the system. Usually they have a duck bill at the bottom that you can squeeze to release anything built up, Sometimes you will need a stick or other tool to poke up into the drain to clear it.

That what I think is happening.

Get the system pressure tested to see if there is a leak.
