My Outlander (apart from what I am about to write) has run problem free for 4 years. Currently tho, when I idle the oil pressure warning light comes on. The oil is full, clean and new, recently changed (1200 miles). When in motion the light does not come on. I have also noticed that when idling at a stop light, if I move my steering wheel from side to side the light turns off.

I am assuming I have a sensor problem, but unsure which sensors I should be looking at.

Thanks

Check oil pressure with a mechanical gauge. If OK then replace the oil pressure sender and inspect the wiring to it to make sure it is correctly routed and the wires are not frayed/burnt.
