Hello and Good evening,

My name is Big John and I am new to the site. Well, I have a question about a car I am working on and it has really stumped me to know end here. I have never had anything like this before. But than again I am usually not working on foreign cars either mostly GM cars.

Well, here is the question.

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse V6 3.0 liter engine with 91,000 miles that keeps getting hot and I don't know why. I have replaced the radiator, radiator cap, thermostat, and the motor is in good shape and is running great and is not bogging down or anything because I thought it maybe a Head Gasket but I was told that it is not. There are one hose on the top of the engine is getting really hot but than the one on the bottom of the engine is really cold and stays cold even when the car gets hot. I think I have a blockage some where that helps to flow the water but can't find out where it could be blocked at? I also think I have a blockage because I can't get water out of the bottom half of the motor.

If you can please help me with all this I would be so grateful. It has had me stumped for days now. I have even taken it to a Radiator shop and they can't even find it anywhere. Also when I first started on this there was a blocked hose with like some kind of gunk in it and it looked like mud when I cleaned it out. SO, any help you can give me to me I would be so grateful thanks so much.

See ya later dude,
Big John

Go to your Auto parts store or Walmart and buy a flush kit. It will come with a fitting that let's you hook your garden hose to one of the rubber hoses on your car and also has a fluid you can pour into your car. It will then cleanout any gunk inside your engine. You may need to remove your waterpump and clean it out also. If you need more info. Feel free to ask.
