I have a 1990 eclipse gsx and I just recently rebuilt the engine and the other day it overheated and started burning water really fast. There is no water in the oil and the car runs fine at higher rpms. I had to drive it 100 miles in order to get home was it really bad for it? Nothing in the motor is stock it is all aftermarket and I don't want to have to replace anything. Should I get the head decked or just replace the gasket?

Tell me you did not drive itt 100 miles hot. If you did you need tto get everything checked and hope you can afford to get it fixed.

I would have the head machined as well, it is a good practice and will make the had gasket last longer. Please go over his video to help confirm the head gasket is blown.
