I have a 1994 3000GT Vr4, and I have no movment when I put it into 1st or 2nd, but there is no grinding noise, it will go into the gear but no response from letting the clutch out, but yet 3rd-6th, and reverse all still work. There was no wierd transmission noises that I noticed that sounded like the transmission went. I was thinking it could be the roll pin that slipped out of the shift linkage in the transmission? Any ideas would help out.

This just happen all of a sudden?
Can you feel the detents when shifting?
Have you tried to shift into 1 with no clutch?
Have you checked the shift cables?
Let me know

Yes just the other morning it wouldn't give any response in movement in 1st or 2nd, and you can feel that it goes into gear it just doesn't move after you let the clutch out. And yes you can feel it stilll goes into place for 1st and 2nd even without using the clutch but no movement and no grinding even when you shift into 1st and 2nd without the clutch. How would I check the shift cables?

Well you have confirmed my suspicion by the feeling of the detents and gear movement. 1 & 2 gear use the same shift hub the fork moves the hub between 1&2. When you shift the hub with aid of syncros lock the gear to the input shaft and turn the output shaft. This hub has stripped, broken center out and will not engage. So you can shift with no clutch cause there is no movement ie. As if engine was off.
You will need to R&R either rebuild or replace.
Good luck
