1994 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl
Check engine light is on but I can't seem to pinpoint a method of finding the exact engine code. From what I gather, my car has an OBD-I system but uses an OBD-II adapter (16-pin), a scenario which my manual has no procedure for. People reference a jumper "paperclip" method but I do not know what pins to connect. I've also heard of needing to manually ground a third pin. I'd prefer to see the code blink on the check engine light in the car, but I could also count pulses on my voltmeter if needed. Anyone know the proper procedure and what pins to jump? Thanks!
