My car shakes when I accelerate from dead stop to 40 mph then it goes away as the car goes faster. The engine's is fine. Just did a 100,000 mile tune-up. Also, before it happens, I just installed the aftermarket lowering spring which drops the body around 2 inches. Could it be the problem? Or should I check the engine mounts?

Hi simoncww,

Thank you for the donation.

Engine mounts seldoms causes problems while acceleration, the drive trains would be more likely.

Lowering the vehicle would change the characteristics of the castor and camber and this would cause additional strain on the drive trains.

I would recommend checking the CV shaft inner joints for lubrication and wear.

Check steering linkages as well.
