Hello, based on your symptoms and the codes retrieved, it is most likely that the EGR valve is stuck open. This will cause a lack of power and misfire on acceleration. The P1779 code is an informational DTC in the TCM. It is basically limiting torque due to the misfire detected. I have provided replacement instructions should you need them.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the EGR valve (1) with a new gasket to the intake manifold.

2. Install the EGR valve bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Connect the EGR valve electrical connector.
4. Install the EGR pipe (4).
