2000 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 122K miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,
I have bought a used car, which needs the following maintenance.
1. PVC Hose Leaking/Vaccum Leak
2. Coolant Flush needed
3. Brake Fluid excessively dirty
4. Power steering flush due
5. Rear brakes out of adjustment
6. Front rotors harped, needs to be turned

Also, it has failed the emission test,
with FAULT codes P0401, P0402, P0171, P0174.

What would be the cost to repair these things. I am not even sure if the emission test fault codes would get fixed by fixing the 1st six things.

if you were to do the repairs yourself about $100. coolant flush 70 vacuum leak 60 code 401 and 402 which is caused by the egr sensor, about 150. the 171 and 174 are caused by the vacuum leak. a brake job with new pads and rotors runs about 200 to 250.
