I am looking into buying a 1996 mercury sable gs. The owner told me that he got it checked and all it needs to pass inspection is a seal for the intake. What does this mean? I tried searching the autozone web site for intake seals but it turned up nothing. Is there a technical name for this part?

I just replaced my own intake gasket, It takes about 2 hours and $45.00. From O'Riely auto parts.
