I need to know how to replace the thermostat. We think that's the problem.

More than likely your Sable has a 3.0 liter motor. To change the thermostat you have to remove the top part of your upper radiator hose, the part that is connected to the motor and you have to pull the thermostatout with a pair of pliers and put the new one in its quite easy if you need further information write me back.
