My engine makes a loud squealing noise when it is maintaining a speed. When I push on the accelerator the noise stops until I maintain the new speed. This noise occurs while the car is in park or in gear. I have also noticed that it happens more in the colder outdoor temperatures than on a warm day.

sounds like your drive belt is loose. check belt tensioner and drive belt
