mercury grand marquis 400,000 4.6 I am having a strong smell of gas when the windows are down, especially the passanger side. I have had it to my mechanic as well as another garage, and no one can seem to tell me where the smell is coming from. The gas tank is not wet, there are no stains anywhere, or leaks that we can spot. Any ideas would be great.
Thanks

Any codes? Check the fill tube for rust holes! My 86 TC had this problem too.
