I have 2001 Mercury Cougar, the check engine light came on flashing around 100,000 miles and started to shake and jurk . I had the spark plugs changed and that seem to fix it for a while, but it started to shake and jurk really bad again and the light started to flash again. It is still reading cylinder one misfire so the cooling pack was changed. The problem is still happening but not as bad. Mostly when I accelerate slowly. What could be the problem?
