1990 Mercedes Benz 190e 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200K+ miles
When I start my car it runs smooth, but after some time (I assume when the engine heats up) the car will begin to vibrate while in drive and at an idle. If I shift the transmission into neutral (say, at a stoplight in the city), the car will begin to idle more smoothly.
I purchased the car last summer and replaced the A/C, the transmission, and brakes. It runs perfect in every other respect.
I must tell you, however, that the check engine light is on. (I assume that the O2 sensor is bad, or possibly even the AGR valve). But I am not sure if the vibration is from this problem.
Can you run a diagnostic at Autozone or Pep Boys for cheap to figure this out? (I don't want to take it to the dealership with my current income situation).
Do you know why it may be vibrating? Or can you tell me how to check my transmission mounts?
Thanks!
Jason
