I ran out of gas and had to push the fuel pump reset. My truck now has a problem running or sometimes wont start. Do I just need to change the fuel filter?

Updated 12/26/08

I have a Mazda 2003 B3000 pick up. I changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump. I have no power going to the fuel pump. All the fuses are good and the reset button is reset. Why am I not getting power to the fuel pump?

Hi there,

I would recommend that you change the fuel filter and run a can of good quality fuel system cleaner into the tank as well, more than likely the filter has picked up a fair amount of muck that normally stays at the bottom of the tank.

Hi,

Can you please post the model of your vehicle so I can check out the exact wiring schematic and see how the pump sources its power.
