my mazda b2600i dies similar things as described but its backwards after you drive I ten miles it starts to drive fine but when you first crank it up and hit the gas it goes under 1000 rpm then you hit it harder and it will only go up to 3000 rpm

It sounds like your pcm is failing. Ie the car computer.
It should be mounted in right hand kickpanel.
