1995 Other Mazda Models Acceleration

About a month ago my car would idle very low like it wanted to die when I came to a stop, if I threw it in neutral it would be fine, shortly after that suddenly stopped happening, I noticed that when I got to around 25 mph, my rpm would rev high and I would have to punch it to get it going faster. I can get it to around 60 mph but sometimes the power just gives out and I really have to gun it. When driving under 25 it drives fine. I changed the air filter, plugs, wires, and check fluids, but nothing has helped. Mazda MX6, 121,000 miles, v6.

Cleaning the egr components and cleaning the egr valve passage way completely from the
intake to the exhaust may help. If not I have run into this in conversations and you'll need a distributer from the dealer.
I have no test prodeure that verifies it being bad, but know that the aftermarket ones have not been reliable.
