1992 Mazda b2600 feul pump

Electrical problem
1992 Mazda b2600 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

Changed to new pump(feul), still no power to the pump. Only way to get power is to ground out the feul relay. Does it sound like I have a bad relay? If not, any sugjestions as to what could be occuring here.

PS. wireing harness checks out.

Its the circuit opening relay that powers the fuel pump-when you ground the relay power is transferred from the switch side of the relay to the fuel pump-swap the relay and see what happens
