Have 1990 Mazda 626, 2.2L engine, 102,000. Live in central Mexico with temperature ranges of 38-95 degrees annually. Can I safely run this car without a thermostat? Thanks.............

Better off to have it in. It takes longer for the engine to come to temperature, causing a richer mixture. Poor gas miliage and potential carbon build up.
