The car is a 2004 mazda 6i with 83k miles on it. The car is selling for around 6k. My question is that the owner says the engine pin for sure is going out because of the ticking noise its making. I cant take it to a trusted shop of my own becaue its too far away from me. So do you think it is worth buying the car and then another engine or simply repairing the pin. What do you think the price will run because i am on a budget. Thanks and please respond asap.

It's NEVER worth 6000 for a four year old car with a bad engine! Engine swaps rarely go as planned! Pass it by!
