Steering problem
1998 Mazda 626 Front Wheel Drive Manual 140000 miles

Simply the problem is this.

1) After I take a RIGHT turn, the steering wheel doesn't return to the center position

2) After a right turn, if I return the steering wheel to the center position with force, the car still pushes to the right side of the road.

3) After I turn to LEFT, the steering wheel nicely returns to the center position and the car goes straight forward.

The wheel alignment has been done several times but doesn't help. Tie rod ends have been replaced.

Any ideas? The local mechanics can't find the cause.

The problem started when after a regular service the local mechanic forgot to tighten the wheel bolts on the passenger side and a few came loose and the alloy wheel was destroyed.

Seems like it destroyed something else too, but what?

The wheel didn't come off, just 3 of the five bolts were lost. The remaining two were loose too.
The alloys and the tires are now replaced.
