My mazda is fine when it cold but when it warms up it will drop from 4th to 3rd gear on its own and downshift very harshly it registered codes but they are; knock sensor, air temp sensor, trans oil temp sensor, generator low voltage sensor
if I replace them all it will cost thousands of dollars is there a way to find out the major ones

The knock sensor is not necessary to change, nor is the temp sensor or low volt sensor. In your situation, I would recommend changing the transmission oil temperature sensor. This sensor is vital for your shifting. It lets the computer know how warm or cold the transmission fluid is so it can adjust the shifts accordingly.
