Check engine light came on had it scanned at AutoZone. Code came up as needing to replace mass air flow sensor. Bought one on-line worked for about two weeks check engine light came on again. Return the part for a refund bought a different one from a different company. Same problem. Have tried 4 different ones from different companies all do not correct the problem.
Engine starts ruff doesn't shift properly and along with the check engine light, the VDC and the slip light is on.

Good afternoon,

Can I have the code that was set? I need the number as there are many codes for the mass air flow.

Did you get one from the dealer?

The mass air flow sensor is placed in the stream of intake air. It measures the intake flow rate by measuring a part of the entire intake flow. The mass air flow sensor controls the temperature of the hot wire to a certain amount. The heat generated by the hot wire is reduced as the intake air flows around it. The greater air flow, the greater the heat loss.
Therefore, the electric current supplied to hot wire is changed to maintain the temperature of the hot wire as air flow increases. The
ECM detects the air flow by means of this current change.
