Where is the MAP sensor located?

Car cranks fine, spark plugs are wet with fuel and good spark in firing order but won't start. Was running one day, parked overnight, ran for about one second, then wouldn't start again. I have sprayed ethanol into intake to no avail. I was told that if I disconnect the MAP sensor it will start but I cannot find the MAP sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cannot afford to have a scan done by a mechanic as they have to have a special scanner for this model (20 pin datalink plug).

There are a couple things that can cause this but unplugging the MAP is most likely not the cause.

It is correct that if the MAP is causing an issue, unplugging it will make that go away and it will run off a preprogrammed parameter. However, it may not run well but it will run.

It is unlikely though this is the issue as your vehicle uses a Mass Air Flow sensor which is in the intake tube. I attached info below on this.

However, if we have a no start then we need to check the basic things. Let's start with confirm fuel pressure because just because you have fuel doesn't mean it is going to be correct. The fact that it doesn't start with starter fluid helps but again we should confirm this, so we are not assuming.

As for the spark, did you confirm it was a blue spark or was it yellow?

Once we know these two things, we can take the next step which will be checking the compression.

Let me know what questions you have on this.

Thanks
