My driver's seat suddenly won't move forward or backward anymore. I found a metal piece just lying there (will attach photo) and am assuming that it's part of the lever thingy. What exactly is the part called that I would need, what steps need to be taken in order to fix this issue, and is there a way to move the seat in the meantime? The seat is moved all the way forward and, even though I am very short even I can't drive it while hugging the dashboard!
Thank you for your time!

That part looks like a seat adjuster track return spring, it must have fell out of the mechanism. Remove the seat (4 bolts) so you can remove the seat and flip it over on a table, then you should be able to see where it goes. Also, if you have questions on where the spring goes you can use a flashlight and look at the other side. Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
