I have a leak from the bottom radiator hose. Getting it off and replacing it is not the problem. My concern is on how to fill it with coolant after. I’ve heard that I have to burp the system. Can anyone help? If there is a procedure on how to do this?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Yes, the system needs properly bled. To make sure it is, once you reinstall the hose, you will need to remove the bleeder plug on the thermostat housing, install a barbed fitting so you can connect a hose for drainage, and it must be open when refilling the

I had to attache pictures for you to get the specific directions. Let me know if there is anything you can't read or if you have questions. Pictures 1 and 2 show location of the bleeder.

Take care,
Joe
