So when I start the car it sounds normal, Bonney open and nothing sounds unusual. When I drive the car it sounds okay, then when I accelerate after a few minutes it sounds very loud. Like a really loud fan sound when accelerating and maintaining speed. Then when I brake or slow down, the noise gets less and stops when stationary. Error - it has 72,000 miles not 27,000.

It sounds like you have a bearing hub that has gone bad, when you go around corners does the noise change. If so, this is a good indication that the bearing hub is bad. Raise the front of the car and grasp the wheel to see if there is play in the bearing.

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Hi, no when I go round a corner it doesn’t change. The noise is only when I’m travelling and especially over 40MPH. If I’m stationary the noise isn’t there at all. I've no way to lift the car up.

Is the noise coming from the front or rear? Can you upload a short video? We need to know where the noise is coming from. Can you check the tire tread to see if they are cupped? This will make the noise you are describing.
