A couple weeks back I was driving my disel 2007 Honda CRV 6 gear manual and I was driving on the link road and I went to over take and I reached 70mph and the it's like my acceleration just stopped working I was pressing on the pedal to have nothing happen so I dropped down to about 50mph and the acceleration just kicked back in again and I have no idea what happen. I don't think it's anything wrong with the gears but I've been worried about going over 60mlh since.

This sounds like a possible throttle position sensor issue. If it was, I suspect we have some codes so we need to start there. Here is a guide that will help:

If your engine has a Diesel then I suspect this is a UK vehicle. If so, that is slightly different then what we have here in the USA.

However, your throttle body is still going to have a position sensor and when they malfunction, you can lose throttle response.

I attached a number of documents below that will help with this. Does this happen often or did it only happen one time?

Please let us know what questions you have an what you find. Thanks

Hi, it has only happened the once as when I drove it back when I bought it the only issue I had was when I reached 70 MPH the steering will juddered. Like I said I'm scared to see what happens if I get it backup to that speed since the fault happened.

Okay. In general this issue normally has nothing to do with the speed you were going. It just happened to be at 70 when it happened but it could have just as easily happened going 20 MPH.

Unfortunately we are not going be able to figure anything out if this doesn't happen again or if we have codes that point to what happened.

So if you have not scanned for codes we need to do that and see if there is anything there.

Thanks
