Two years ago my heater core was replaced ( or at least this is what I thought). A guy who my husband knows supposedly replaced it for half of what other places wanted to charge me. I dropped off my truck and got it back in about 3-4 days. Ever since my heater did work but not 100%, and last yr. It did not work at all! So, now as I'm driving it I noticed some anti-freeze smell on the inside of the truck. It was very strong. But no leaks, so then I let it sit over night, and this morning on my morning drive in to work, It was in the upper 50's so I seen some steam coming out of my vents and I smelled it and it smelled like Anti-Freeze! This is my only transportation, and I still have one more year of payments! Any advice?

Could be leaky hose at the heater core or the heater core could be bad again. If it is bad again than you should have the entire cooling system flushed because if there is a lot of build up in the system than it is going to get caught by the heater core again which is probably what has caused the last 2 to fail.
