2001 Lincoln LS

Every time I accelerate the engine starts to studer, the engine light start blinking, the A/C fan continues to run however it starts letting out hot air. Once I let up on the accelerator, the engine goes back to normal operation, the engine light stays on however stops blinking and the A/C returns to letting out cold air. When the car is at a stop it has an idle that feels like it is going to die out.
