I have a 1997 Lincol continental with a 4.6 liter v8 and 92000 miles. While accelerating the traction control light will appear on the dash and the car acts like it jumps out of gear and will no longer accelerate. After a short wait the car will jump back in gear and accelerate like normal? Please help?

Is your ABS light on with it? Traction control applies the brakes to control skid. Get back to us, or if the ABS light is on get the codes read! Pull the fuse for the traction to see if it improves!
